Saving Money for Retirement - What a Concept

If we all live to be 80 then maybe we should start looking at our savings a little differently. I certainly hope to be able to retire at some point. Living past 65 is the immediate goal and enjoying any time after that would be long term. There seems to be an inherent problem in this country with saving money. We just don't do it.

I would never have thought that this country would get itself in the shape it is today. Investments shrinking by more than half. People walking away from their homes and mortgages. Unemployment at levels we haven't seen in years. Just think about the future for a moment. Do you have any kind of plan for it?
